Having been born and raised in Mexico and later relocating to the United States as an adult, I have developed a unique and sensitive perspective on the complex relationship between these two very different cultural entities. My art serves as a medium to reflect deeper into this complex connection, highlighting various elements that shape the cultural dynamic.

In particular, I focus on the troubling influence of the United States in the ongoing issue of narco-violence that has tormented Mexico for decades. This violence is not only a consequence of deep-rooted corruption within Mexico but is also fueled by the United States' interventions and its often-imperialistic stance on Latin America. I explore how trade agreements, allegedly designed to foster economic growth, can sometimes exacerbate existing tensions and contribute to instability.

Through vivid imagery and thought-provoking themes in my work, I reflect on my lived experiences in a country where narco-violence has irrevocably altered communities and lives. My intention is to expose these serious issues, encouraging dialogue about the shared histories and responsibilities that tie the two nations together.
