Portfolio > Home is not a sanctuary

In Home is not a Sanctuary, I focus on the idealization of the American Dream through the lives of undocumented Latino construction workers, those who are physically building this nation while remaining marginalized within it. Home as a symbol of safety has turned out to be a trap for Latino families and even more for those who are arrested at construction sites. This work addresses migration, its criminalization, and the economic and political forces that have pushed this social reality to a breaking point.
